The Best Real Estate Brokerage in Toronto — What Would That Even Look Like?
Toronto has more real estate brokerages than most countries. Type "best real estate brokerage in Toronto" and you'll find lists ranked by office count, by ad spend, by whoever paid for the placement.
We'd rather answer a better question: *what would the best brokerage actually do for you?* Then show you how we measure up.
The scale to matter, the size to care
REMAX Metropolis has two offices — 8321 Kennedy Road, Markham (Downtown Markham) and our Scarsdale Road office in North York and multiple team offices — with over 300 agents working across the entire GTA: Toronto's core and inner suburbs, North York, Scarborough, Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Mississauga, Pickering and Ajax and even going as far as Sarnia.
In 2025 our agents closed 2,683 transaction ends for $891 million. Since we opened in 2018, nearly $5 billion. roughly one in every fifty resale sides in the GTA now involves a REMAX Metropolis agent 2.1% of GTA sides, 2026 YTD.
That's big enough that our agents have seen your situation before — and small enough that the Broker of Record still knows every one of them by name.
What "best" means to us
We're not going to tell you a ranking. Nobody hands out a "best brokerage" title, and under Ontario's real estate rules a brokerage that claims one had better be able to prove it. What we can do is tell you exactly what we measure ourselves against — and let the numbers and the people speak.
1. Files that are actually in order. Every deal that comes through our office is reviewed by a compliance team. Our Trade Record Sheets are drafted the moment a file lands and signed by the Broker of Record and the agent electronically, which is why "trade record sheet deficiencies" (one of RECO's most common inspection findings) simply isn't a story here.
2. A broker you can actually reach. Our Broker of Record, Ricky Rathore, answers agents' compliance and transaction questions himself. Clause drafting, multiple-representation situations, tricky conditions — those get a real answer from a real broker within minutes.
3. Real production, from real people. In 2025 our agents closed 2,683 transaction ends for $891 million in sales volume. Since we opened in 2018, the total is nearly $5 billion. roughly one in every fifty resale sides in the GTA now involves a REMAX Metropolis agent [verify: 2.1% of GTA sides, 2026 YTD].
4. We invest in our people. Corporate GoodLife Fitness memberships, an in-house marketing desk that turns a listing into social, print and email in a day, recruitment and training that treats a first-year agent like the future of the company — because they are, administrative and paperwork support - the list goes on.
5. We keep the good ones. The clearest signal of a brokerage's quality is who stays. Ask any of our agents why they haven't moved. Then ask their clients.
What that means when you hire us
Your agent has backup. Every one of our REALTORS® can reach the Broker of Record directly for a second opinion on a clause, a competing-offer strategy or a difficult negotiation. You get one agent's attention and the whole brokerage's judgment.
You get the whole market, not a postal code. Downtown condo to Markham freehold to a pre-construction assignment in Vaughan — one brokerage, one standard.
What that means if you're an agent
You get a compliance desk that protects your licence, an admin team that handles your paperwork, marketing that produces, an in-house pre-construction team, an in-house legal team, and a broker who treats "can I do this?" as the most important question of the day.
We can't hand you a trophy that says "best brokerage in Toronto." We can show you our numbers, introduce you to our agents, and let you decide.
