Real Estate Coaching Programs in Ontario: What to Ask Before You Pay for One
Coaching is the easiest thing in this business to sell and the hardest to measure. Most agents buy it the way they buy a gym membership. In January. On hope.
Ask better questions first.
What coaching actually is
Three things get sold under one word:
Training teaches you the job. Contracts, clauses, process.
Coaching changes what you do on Tuesday morning. Calls made, appointments set, follow-up done.
Motivation feels good until lunch.
You need the first two. You can get the third from a podcast.
Seven questions before you pay
Who is the coach, and what have they sold? A coach who never carried a pipeline is a commentator.
Is it built for Ontario? Scripts written for Texas ignore TRESA, RECO advertising rules and how offers actually run here.
What do I do each week? If the answer is "watch the modules", that's a library, not coaching.
Who holds me to it? Accountability is the product. No check-ins, no product.
What does it cost, all in, and for how long? Monthly fee, contract term, cancellation. Get it in writing.
What result should I expect by week twelve? A real program names one. Appointments, listings, conversations. Pick a number.
Can I speak to three agents who finished it? Not testimonials. Phone numbers.
The part nobody mentions
You may already be paying for it. A brokerage that takes a split or a fee and offers no structured coaching is charging you for a logo.
Ask your broker what the program is, who runs it, and when it meets. If the answer is a Facebook group, you have your answer.
Where we stand
A 12-week sales program led by Canada's #1 real estate coach.
Weekly scripting and objection-handling sessions. Live, then recorded.
2,000+ pages of on-demand training covering buying, selling, leasing, power of sale, marketing and lead generation.
A Broker of Record who is also a practising lawyer, answering deal questions.
It's included. We don't sell our agents a second product to make the first one work.
Quick answers
How much does real estate coaching cost in Ontario?
Outside programs commonly run from a few hundred to well over a thousand dollars a month, often on a one-year term. Read the cancellation clause before the sales page.
Is real estate coaching worth it for new agents?
Yes, if it produces weekly activity you can count. No, if it produces notes.
Do brokerages in Ontario provide coaching?
Some do, properly. Many call a monthly meeting "coaching". Ask for the schedule, the coach's name and an agent who completed it.
What's the difference between coaching and mentorship?
A mentor answers your questions. A coach asks why you didn't make the calls.
